About our Brands
As much as w can, we try to work with suppliers and brands that are 'local', which in the bicycle world is not easy!
Our two main bike brands are based an hour or so from us - Forme (under the brand Forme) and Tandem Group (Claud Butler & Dawes brands). See below for some background on these brands and why we have chosen to stock their bikes.
We carry a very broad range of parts and accessories in the shop from a range of quality brands. Our purchasing motto at Shipston Spokes is 'buy well, buy once'. As our name suggests, our brand, established in 2010 is inspired by a lifelong passion for fitness, adventure and the outdoors. Quality bikes are just the outcome of our lifestyle and personal involvement in the sport.
The Forme product range is truly Formed By The UK at every level. Our team consists of Elite National Road, MTB & Cyclo Cross Champions, World Cup level Downhill MTB riders, previous Specialist Bike Shop Managers, certified British Cycling Go-Ride Coaches and daily ride to workers! As a team, we are able to apply our collective knowledge to create the very best products we would want to ride.
Our Derbyshire base is a short ride from both the stunning scenery of the Peak District and the metropolitan buzz of Derby and Nottingham.
This privileged location, rich in cycling heritage, with its gruelling climbs, epic descents, state of the art velodrome and vibrant commuter belt has been inspirational to our unique approach of creating a range of cycles that has been developed by riders, for riders, in all disciplines and styles.
